UPDATE of the project "inclusion of children and youngsters with special needs at the ecuadorian scholar system"

In the Project "Inclusion of Children and Youngsters with Special Needs at the Ecuadorian Scholar System ", that is being executed by the Ministry of Education and Fundación General Ecuatoriana, in order to continue with the process of inclusion in the Ecuadorian schools, the following documents have been redesigned and published:

Modelo Nacional de Inclusión

001

  1. Guía para maestros
  2. Guía para padres
  3. Guía para niños

001

This material will be distributed during the trainings, that FGE and Ministry of Education are doing, in each of the provinces of the country. The model will be put into practice in 30 regular schools at a national level that will be changed to inclusive schools. For this, the staff of the school is trained during a week with a follow up process of the institution.

The guides for parents, teachers and children were designed to create awareness in topics like inclusion, special needs and disability. They are given through workshops of awareness for parents, students and teachers in the 30 inclusive schools and in the 300 schools in the influence areas (10 per inclusive school).

In each province, the inclusive school has been considered and the 10 choiced schools of the influence area will benefit with about:

  1. 50 National Models Nacionales of Inclusion.
  2. 150 Guides (one for parents, one for teachers, one for kids).
  3. 300 Guides for children
  4. 240 Guides for parents.

We hope that these materials will be a source of basic research that allow (little by little) visualize the process of Educative Inclusion in Ecuador.
